Welcome to our website.

We look forward to seeing you all in 2012.

Sutton Theatre Company is our local amateur drama group.  We are a lively, friendly group of people, who love the theatre and have a lot of fun getting shows together and putting them on stage.  We are based at the Trusthorpe Village Hall, Trusthorpe, which is on the East Coast in Lincolnshire, between Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe.

New members are always welcome, so if you would like to tread the boards, or if you are interested in set building and decorating, stage lighting and sound engineering, costume design and sewing, or front of house activities such as making endless cups of tea and coffee, do get in touch. You will find that, to us, enthusiasm is just as important as expertise and that experience, though desirable, is not always essential.

Today the costs of putting on productions have risen enormously. We all work very hard, trying to involve the local community in the arts, so new members are always welcome.  Just come along to our shows and see what we do.  You might just be tempted to join.  Our annual membership fee is £6.00 for adults, and £1.00 for young people under 16, and this is usually paid in September.  Events  are all open to non members, but your membership card will entitle you to free  refreshments at all of our shows.

We have members of all ages – actors, backstage workers and front of house staff, all doing our best to keep live entertainment going and to have a lot of fun in the process.  Some of the people you might meet are pictured below.

Every year we stage two main productions, one in the Spring and one in the Autumn.

We also like to arrange entertainments such as Murder/Mystery evenings, variety shows, concerts and so on, trying to raise money for local charities along the way.
